A Time for Yohe-Between the Trees

One of my favorite organizations is To Write Love On Her Arms or TWLOHA. It began as a way to help a young woman who was in a desperate place. The founders showed her love and told her about the hope found in Christ. The band Between the Trees were encouraged by her story and wrote a song about it.

Does it help to say I'm sorry
If so than I'm sorry that you’re so unhappy
This life, those lies are starting to get you down
Darling don't let them drag you around
Saying "it's my fault" doesn't help repeated
Time, love, and Jesus seems to beat it
She'll find out this is harder than
Taking medicine

This is your time to weep
This is your time to morn
Not yet time to build up
Just a time to tear down old walls

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-

The chapter goes on to list many things like life and death, weeping and laughing, planting and harvesting, etc. that there is a time for. What both the writer of the verse and the writer of the song are trying to convey is that seasons in life-like the seasons of the year-always change. The circumstance you are in will change one day. The despair, loneliness, hope, whatever you may be going through will not last forever. So if you are down , remember that hope is around the corner. If you are happy and all is well, use it to help someone is down and out reminding them that it will pass. We have hope in Christ that though we suffer in this world, one day we will be with Him forever if we surrender our lives to Him and allow Him to be our hope, comfort, and peace.
